Event Description

The seventh edition of Sounds From the Library brings to you a unique flavour of hip hop!

An intimate evening where conversation and performance intertwine in the cozy, listener-focused space of the BIC library. This hybrid series spotlights emerging voices from the Indian music scene, all past longlisted artists from the Toto Awards for Music.

From Pune, Moosa brings a fluid weave of R&B, hip hop, and his evolving alt–indie sensibilities, moving with ease between melody and groove. From Bengaluru, Kali grounds the evening in the rhythms of Kannada, fusing language with socially charged narratives to deliver a raw, unfiltered take on hip hop. Aditi Sreevathsa anchors the night as DJ and show emcee, bringing her experience as a seasoned music industry professional to shape the energy of the evening.

More than a gig, Sounds From The Library invites audiences into the creative lives of the artists; offering insight into their inspirations, processes, and personal journeys. With music that moves and conversations that linger, this is a rare chance to experience live performance in its most thoughtful form.

In collaboration with:

Performers

Moosa
R&B, Hip Hop & Alt/Indie
Moosa is a singer-songwriter whose music feels less like a genre and more like a lived-in conversation. Shaped by choir benches, basement mosh pits, and endless VH1 countdowns from his Pune childhood. His sound flows effortlessly through R&B, hip-hop, and alt-indie as he weaves them into a single, honest narrative. A multi-instrumentalist and thoughtful collaborator, he has spent the last five years shaping other artists’ music before turning that same care inward. Moosa’s performances feel like invitations: warm, personal, and intentionally crafted.

Kali
Hip-hop & Rap
Kali is a Bengaluru-based rapper whose lyrical world blends sharp hip-hop instincts with the musicality of Kannada and the weight of lived experience. His work digs into class, caste, and community with poetic clarity, crafting verses that are as introspective as they are socially incisive. Offstage, he is a teacher and visual artist, extending his creativity into learning spaces and local culture. Kali’s performances carry a raw emotional charge leaving a resonant imprint on Bengaluru’s evolving music landscape: thoughtful, grounded, and unmistakable.

Aditi Sreevathsa
Multi-disciplinary Artist
Aditi Sreevathsa, known as FUSHI, is a multidisciplinary force whose artistry stretches across music, movement, and community. As a DJ, she brings a signature bass-driven sound to the console, and as a charismatic emcee, she has hosted major events including Boiler Room x Budweiser. She is also an internationally certified circus coach managing Bliss Circus, and a seasoned music industry professional with experience at Bytedance, 4CNY, and The Humming Tree. Whether behind decks or onstage, FUSHI brings bold energy and a rare creative range to every intimate session.
