Event Description

This Saturday we bring to you RS Connect’s ’Sugama Sangeetha’ in collaboration with Indian Music Experience.

‘Sugama Sangeetha’ is an hour-long performance of bhavageethe, vachana, tatwapada, folk songs, and daasarapada by vocalist Basanth G. Prasad.

A 2nd year PUC student at Vijaya College, Basanth G. Prasad’s parents were his first gurus, where he learnt singing from his mother and folk singer Savitha Ganesh Prasad, and his father and keyboard artist Ganesh Prasad. He is currently learning Hindustani vocals under Pandit Venkatesh Alkod, western music under Praveen Dutt Stephen and guitar from Jhon Sundaran.
