P. Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560078) About the Facilitator: Anish Victor A theatre practitioner brings three decades of rich experience as a performer and facilitator. Anish`s journey is deeply rooted in the traditional art form of Tholpaavai Koothu, which he learned from esteemed masters- A. Selvaraja, Kuppusamy, and Savithriammal. About the Workshop: This summer, dive into a world where shadows become a source of joy, laughter, and learning for your child. The workshop seamlessly blends elements of Tholpaavai Koothu, a traditional leather puppetry art form from Tamil Nadu, with contemporary theatre practices. Drawing inspiration from the captivating stories of Sringeri Srinivasa, penned by Rohini Nilekani and brought to life by illustrators Angie and Upesh, participants will embark on a journey culminating in a presentation of shadow puppetry and theatre, entirely crafted and performed by the young participants. This unique opportunity allows participants to delve into the intricacies of the creative process—imagining, crafting stories, and illustrating them, thereby adding depth and value to their overall summer adventure.
