The Sur Sandhya 2024 is in aid of Soul of Tribal India (https://www.Rdcewe.org) to support a noble cause of educating the Tribal Children in West Singhbhum District, Jharkhand. The school symbolises the remarkable saga of a resilient and progressive young lady, Basmati Birua, the founder of the movement. Despite being poor and socially oppressed, she started a school in 2016 under a tree with four children in a remote forest village called Lamjahari.
Today, the school provides free education from pre-Nursery to 7th grade, with nutritious breakfast and midday meals to 327 tribal children.
