Sursagar in association with ICCR- Bangalore celebrates their 41st Varshikotsav with a presentation of Kishori Amonkar’s unheard bandishes, Bhajan, Abhangs and Ghazals and presented by Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar, on Saturday the 25th of November 2023 at 5.30 PM at Canara Union, Malleshwaram, Bangalore

Gaanasaraswati Kishori Amonkar remains one of the most influential vocalists in Hindustani music. Her ability to transcend her listeners to another world made her a favourite amongst connoisseurs as well as common listeners. 'UNSUNG KISHORI' is a presentation of some of Kishoritai's finest but rarely heard compositions presented by her senior disciple Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar. These include not only bandishes but also bhajans, abhangs and ghazals which Tai composed but almost never performed.

The first half of the concert will consist of a presentation of Ragas and Bandishes composed by Kishoritai. The second half will be a presentation of Tai's compositions in light music. Raghunandan ji will be accompanied by Milind Kulkarni on the harmonium, Rohit Kulkarni on Keyboards, Vinayak Netke on Tabla and Abhijit Bhade on side rhythm.
