As we celebrate the essence of womanhood this March, Vidushi Saniya Patankar and her female disciples from Prerana Music Organization present a unique musical journey, dedicated entirely to women—through raga, rhythm, and composition.
This extraordinary concert will feature ragas named after divine feminine energy, such as Durga, Gauri, Saraswati, Bhairavi, Parameshwari, and more. These powerful ragas will be brought to life through compositions by legendary female saints and composers—Janabai, Soyarabai, Meerabai, Muktabai, Bahinabai, and others—expressing their spiritual depth, emotional strength, and the myriad roles women play in life.
Adding to this rare musical experience, the entire ensemble—including percussionists and instrumentalists—will feature an all-female cast, making it a true celebration of women’s contributions to the world of music.
With lucid and engaging compering, this concert will not just be a performance but a soulful narrative of strength, devotion, and artistry—woven together through the voices, compositions, and stories of women across generations.
