Symphony of Santoor is a first-of-its-kind, large-format musical production conceptualised and led by Pt Rahul Shivkumar Sharma. The project presents the Santoor — one of India’s most revered classical instruments — in a grand symphonic format, combining Indian classical depth with contemporary orchestral arrangements.

Banyan Tree is proud to showcase it to Indian audiencesas a multi-city tour, with Mumbai and Bengaluru positioned as anchor cities.

This is one of the largest and most ambitious Santoor-led productions ever staged in India. With a 35 Member International Chamber Orchestra supporting the 100-stringed instrument, this makes for an enthralling global showcase of sound across genres, tapping into Indian Classical Music, Western Classical Music, as also Jazz and eternal Bollywood tunes. 

The Orchestra will be conducted by Samuel Tamarit Otero, of the Czhech Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice.
