Can’t stay calm, it’s the music time at Ranga Shankara! Ranga Shankara is excited to host NCPA’s Symphony Orchestra of India, India’s only full-time professional orchestra. If you were in the audience last time they were in Bangalore you know what we mean, if you weren’t, then this is your chance to experience the music and make a memory! The SOI Chamber Orchestra will perform under the baton of resident conductor Mikel Toms. The programme will feature The overture to Mozart’s comic opera The Marriage of Figaro Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony, which remains one of the composer’s most beloved works Bizet’s Carmen Suite. We have missed our young audiences at Ranga Shankara during the gruelling three years of the pandemic. We would like to welcome them back with a treat of Symphony Opera’s Young People’s Concert – A musical journey around the world. The Symphony Orchestra of India presents a special concert for young audiences (children above the age of 5) and families, under the baton of resident conductor Mikel Toms. The programme, performed by musicians of the SOI with a narrator, will blend entertainment and education, and take children on a journey around the world through music—from Austria to America, France to India, and more!
