A farewell to Bangalore concert by Marie Hagen who had made this city her musical home for the last year. This is her last performance before moving to Spain at the end of August

Born, raised and trained in Stockholm Marie hails from one of the biggest musical cities in the world. Her musical journey started with the clarinet at 8 years old and when she turned 11 she majored in the voice. Marie received her training from the Kulturama School of Music in Stockholm after which she studied jazz for two years in Stockholms Kommunala Musikinstitut.
Thereafter Marie embarked on an illustrious teaching and performing career. including performing as a background singer for Swedish artists and international artists visiting Sweden
She has guided numerous talents as a primary and secondary school music educator in Stockholm and has been appointed music director for several choirs.
Marie presently lives in Bangalore and is gaining a following earning her the moniker “Songbird of Jazz, Soul and R&B”.
Aman Mahajan is a pianist, composer and improviser extraordinaire based in Bangalore India playing improvised music across a diversity of musical idioms. His current work is influenced by traditional and contemporary forms of music from around the world, often concept-driven and inspired by a sense of unity and connection. He is keenly interested in improvised music as a medium of interaction and exploration.
Marie Hagen will be performing her repertoire of original compositions, including some jazz standards. There will be an interval of 10 minutes netween sessions
