LAKKSHYA TRIO - dabble across music formats with a strong and an endearing Carnatic base. Lakkshya was born out of mutual love and the strong need of expanding their sense and of music. Being long standing friends sealed the deal for Lakkshya to become a reality. understanding. They perform a wide range of concerts across India and abroad creating a chemistry between Classical carnatic and contemporary music and often collaborative performances with different genres of artists.

The work created by Lakkshya is often the result of an equal measure of fun experiments and matching with the artistic vibe of all the group. As a collective they are always looking forward to collaborating with artists and creating a memorable experience for their audience.

The Maverick Fiddler- K J DILIIP K.J.Diliip has had the good fortune of having been born in a musical family. His initial training was from his father Shri. K.J.Shyamasharma and grandfather Shri. K.J.Krishna Bhat who is an accomplished vocalist and violinist. He further underwent advance training under violin maestro Padmabhushan Sangeetha Kalanidhi M.S.Gopalakrishnan. Diliip has also been playing Violin Duet concerts and also Vocal-Violin duet with his wife Ila Diliip and has been appreciated as the 1st Indian couple to play Carnatic Violin Duet concerts and a unique couple to perform Vocal-Violin duet concerts. Diliip gives duet performances with Ila Diliip and has performed with various senior artists in the field of Carnatic music. He performs across India and has also made a mark abroad in countries like Canada UAE U.S.A France (in Paris for the event - 'The European Night of Museum' at Musee Guimet) Switzerland Nigeria Sri Lanka and Australia. He has given a LEC-DEM at various places like the Berklee College of Music Boston Museeguimet Paris Switzerland and so on. He is a much sought after musician in the cinema industry and has worked with many music directors. One of his recent instrumental hits from the movie Monsoon Raga has crossed 3 million views. Pudhupoonal program in Podhigai has recognized him as an exceptional talent at the age of 18 & interviewed followed by a solo concert. He is the founder of Lakkshya Band which is currently performing across India and has managed to carve a niche for themselves in a very short time.

A Fearless Melody- ILA DILIIP For Ila voicing her ideas was organic by singing. Primarily a vocalist but carries her own even as a violinist. Her audience can experience a journey from an idyllic tulip garden to a massive orchestral symphony. Ila is Lakkshya’s fearless melody. Ila has been performing vocal and violin concerts across India and has been presented in countries such as Switzerland France and Canada. Her skill has come through in challenging concerts such as Pancha gana Raga Tana Pallavi Navaragakshara RTP and the 128-unit per cycle tala Simhanandana tala RTP. In June 2017 Ila represented India in Uganda Tanzania and South Africa and performed as an Indian Cultural Delegate. She received tremendous appreciation from the Prime Minister of Uganda Mr. Ruhakana Rugunda the former Prime Minister of Tanzania and several other ministers who witnessed her performance. Ila is a versatile musician and collaborates with different art forms such as Bharatanatyam Odissi and many contemporary dance productions Jazz musicians and has composed music for many productions and plays. She recently made her debut as a playback singer for the South Indian movie (Kannada) called Monsoon Raga. Ila has been playing Violin Duet concerts and also Vocal-Violin duet with her husband Vid. K J Diliip and been appreciated as 1st Indian couple to play Carnatic Violin Duet concerts and a unique couple to perform Vocal-Violin duet concerts. They have been performing together all over India and also in other countries such as Paris for the event “The European Night of the Museum” Switzerland and Italy.

The Khanjira Boy- SUNAAD ANOOR Sunaad Anoor is born into a family of renowned musicians from Bangalore India. He is the 5th generation musician from his family. His great great grandfather and his great grandfather were proficient Veena Players. His grandfather was a very well known violinist in the country and his father and uncle are percussionists and his mother is a classical Indian vocalist. With this background there was nothing but music running at his home. Sunaad learnt violin for a few years but was very much inclined towards percussion. He alsoTstarted to learn the percussion instrument Mridangam from his father Vid. Anoor Dattatreya Sharma. He was fascinated by the Kanjira when his cousin Vinod Shyam Anoor showed some of the techniques to play this instrument and asked him to play it in a concert soon after. That was when Sunaad was really inspired to take it up and practice! He then continued his advanced studies in Indian Rhythms with his uncle Vid. Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma. He observed all the masters of Kanjira and got inspired and practiced it until today. He has played kanjira as a solo and as accompaniment in more than a 1000 concerts in the past 11 years. Sunaad has worked with many symphonies, ensembles on film scores in different genres of music. His music has the core foundation of Indian Carnatic music but is also influenced by genres like Hindustani Jazz Latin and folk music. He is known for his spontaneous playing on stage and has a sound of his own which has developed in these years. He has performed all over India with very eminent Musicians from India! He has also performed in Germany and Singapore.
