VIVEK SANTHOSH TRIO formed in 2014 is an experimental jazz and contemporary music band. adhering to the traditional jazz trio format with Piano Bass and Drums played by Vivek Santhosh Bruthuva Caleb and Rijil Dharman respectively. The Vivek Santhosh Trio have performed their repertoire of primarily original music at clubs and music festivals across the country. The uniqueness of the Vivek Santhosh Trio finds eloquence through their music. ABOUT THE TRIO Vivek Santhosh Trio | Fuelled by Mr. P | Live at Fete de la Musique VIVEK SANTHOSH Vivek is the founding member of the Trio and as band leader he handles the compositions and music arrangements of the group. Vivek is a classically trained pianist with an L.T..C..L (Licentiate of Trinity College London) Diploma Certificate In addition Vivek is also a Carnatic musician with a Masters Degree. He remains fascinated by progressive and improvised musical forms which he continues to explore BRUTHUVA CALEB Bruthuva is the bassist in the group but ironically his primary musical instrument is the piano He is a trained classical pianist - who holds an ATCL from Trinity College London. “Guitaring” was more of a side business for him but eventually he found his voice through the bass guitar! When he heard of the ‘Vivek Santhosh Trio’ project from Vivek he proposed himself as a bassist and since then he has been creating magic within the music. RIJIL DHARMAN Rijil Dharman joined the group in 2014. He is a drummer and percussionist extraordinaire.with a formal education in music. What makes Rijil's rhythmic explorations unique is the application of his knowledge of South Indian music percussion into his drumming.The specialty of Rijil Dharman's rhythms is that he really understands the music and and contributes completely to what is demanded of him.
