We move through life in many forms: the curious child discovering the world, the hopeful dreamer, the one learning to live with loss, and more. This programme follows these changing roles through songs from musical theatre and popular music, exploring how each stage leaves its mark on the person we become.
Our emotional lives are not confined to the mind. Joy can make us feel lighter, anticipation can quicken the pulse, grief can feel physically heavy, and relief can bring a sense of release. Music has a unique ability to evoke these responses, giving sound to experiences that are simultaneously psychological, emotional, and physical.
Through these shifting states, the programme asks what happens within us as we grow and change. The songs become snapshots of different ways of being — moments of wonder, connection, pain, reflection, acceptance, and renewed possibility — creating a journey not towards becoming someone else, but towards understanding the many versions of ourselves along the way.
