Event Description

Presenting a Margam, Vaibhav Arekar embarks on a journey, a marga, to explore the realms of the tangible and intangible. Entrusted with the precise structure of a Bharatanatyam Margam, this path unfolds over the years, shaped by his lived experiences, becoming a passage that unravels the mysteries and nuances of life. Progressing through the abstraction of Aaksa, he delves into the emotional landscape of a Varnam, leading to an intimate space within an Ashtapadi. The celebration of the formless through a Tillana marks the culmination of this artistic odyssey. This is the second performance in the ‘All For Dance’ Series, presented by Kalavaahini. Curated by Malavika Sarukkai, in collaboration with Bangalore International Centre and Shreya Nagarajan Singh Arts Development Consultancy, the series presents some of the best classical dancers across India in Bangalore, once, every quarter at BIC. This series was inaugurated by the Amrita Lahiri (Kuchipudi artist) in October 2023.
