The Gathering Room - II
Last month, a room full of people who'd never met sat in a circle, and by the end of the afternoon, a simple dupatta had carried more than any of us expected it to. Some people spoke. Some didn't say a word. Almost everyone left a little lighter than they came in.
We're doing it again.
Divorce and separation don't end when the papers do. There's the decision itself. The legal process. And then everything after: the parenting schedule you're still figuring out, the money you're untangling, the boundaries you're learning to hold, often alone.
Somewhere along the way, a story tends to settle in. That this is a failure. That it has to get ugly. That there's a "right" way to grieve, or a deadline for moving on.
This session starts from a different place: a relationship changing shape isn't a verdict on who you are, and it doesn't have to look like a battle to be real.
Whether you were with us last month or this is your first time, there's a seat for you. Mid-decision, past it, or still finding your way in.
The Format
This isn't a talk or a lecture.
Expect some movement, a few structured activities in pairs or as a full group, and room throughout to simply notice where you are. No scripts, no performance. You don't need to prepare anything.
What to Expect
Arrival
Come in when you're ready. No forms, no forced small talk, no explanations owed.
Opening Circle
Seema, a Certified Psychodrama Practitioner who facilitates the session, will say hello and walk you through how the afternoon unfolds. If you'd like to share a word about why you're here, you can. If you'd rather listen, that's just as welcome.
The Heart of the Session
The main part of the afternoon: movement, a few activities in pairs or as a group, and quieter moments in between to check in with yourself. Nobody will ask you to talk if you don't want to. Nobody will ask you to perform.
Coming Back Together
Before we close, we'll gather as a full group to sit with whatever came up. A reflection or a small gesture is welcome. So is silence.
Closing
You might leave with a bit more clarity. You might leave without saying a single word and still feel a little less alone. Both count.
Each gathering builds on the last. Familiar faces make the room feel safer, and new ones remind everyone they're not the only ones going through this. Whether you were here in September or you're coming for the first time, there's a seat saved for you.
