ARTiculate, directed by filmmaker Sumantra Ghosal, is a series of short films that takes a close look at select artworks and artists in the museum’s collections. Produced with meticulous research and inputs from experts, visual analysis and art historical contexts seamlessly merge together in these films that seek to engage the viewer into looking deeper into the sometimes curious and often spectacular ways in which art works. Join us for the set of screenings featuring the works of Jamini Roy, Tyeb Mehta, and Manjit Bawa, followed by a discussion between the filmmaker, Sumantra Ghosal and Cultural Practitioner and the former Executive Director of India Foundation for the Arts, Arundhati Ghosh, delving into the conceptualisation of the series, the processes involved and more.
