The New York Times calls Anuvab Pal India’s Most Intelligent Comedian. NDTV calls him India’s top English comedian. His stand up comedy special The Nation Wants To Know, has had over 500 shows starting in Mumbai and playing from Sydney to San Francisco to Singapore to sold out houses across 30 cities. He’s also the only Indian comedian invited to perform at Harvard University and for the Prime Minister and President Of India. In India, he’s the screenwriter of 2 well known Bollywood films Loins Of Punjab Presents and The President Is Coming. He has written two shows for Amazon Prime – Wakalaat From Home and Going Viral Pvt. Ltd, as well as worked on the screenplay for well-known Bollywood films Bar Bar Dekho, Hichki and Bhoot Police. He writes a weekly column called Funny Business for The Economic Times and has hosted The Economic Times Awards twice in a row.

He divides his time between Mumbai and London. In the UK, his BBC stand up show titled The Empire has been seen by 6 million people worldwide and is featured at The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He has also written a sitcom starring British comedy legend Stephen Fry for BBC Radio 2. Empire is now live as a stand up special on Amazon Prime UK.
