Aravind Sanka is the co-founder of Rapido, India’s largest ride-sharing platform, embodying the spirit of grassroots ambition meeting large-scale transformation. As the first from his village to attend IIT, Aravind’s journey from Bhubaneshwar to Bangalore’s startup hub reflects his visionary leadership.  With prior experience at Flipkart and Ekart, Aravind gained deep expertise in solving population-scale problems. His skill in understanding business value chains and identifying opportunities has been critical to Rapido’s success. Aravind co-founded Rapido in 2015, driven by a mission to leverage technology and existing infrastructure to address traffic congestion and create large-scale employment. Rapido now serves 20+ million users across 100+ Indian cities and achieved unicorn status in 2024. The platform’s innovations, like the Zero-Commission model for cabs and autos, highlight Aravind’s commitment to empowering drivers and solving urban challenges. Despite setbacks with earlier ventures, Aravind’s perseverance and focus on affordability and reliability positioned Rapido as a disruptor in India’s mobility sector.
