Event Description

An immersive morning of sitar and tabla awaits.

This Hindustani classical concert offers a unique exploration of the instrument that stands as the backbone of the tradition: the sitar. It begins with a lecture-demonstration tracing historical roots, structural design, tonal acoustics, and stylistic transformations over centuries. Following this is a full morning raga recital, highlighting the rich aesthetic traditions and intricate rhythmic dialogues between sitar and tabla.

For both the seasoned connoisseurs and new listeners, this session offers a deeper appreciation of the heritage, craft, and soul of Indian classical music. The sitar is not just a musical instrument, but a living, evolving canvas of Indian culture that bridges centuries of tradition with timeless acoustic mastery.
