Event Description

This event showcases the interplay of rhythm and melody through the Santoor and Tabla. The Santoor’s hundred strings create a captivating tune, complemented by the dynamic tones of the Tabla. Together, they evoke the traditional Raagas of the evening, originating from the Mughal courts centuries ago. Among the featured Raagas are Yaman, Behag, Jog, Rageshree, and Shree. The artists will play compositions like Raag Jog Kauns and Raag Kaushik Dhwani in Teentaal, accompanied by Tabla solos. These performances offer a glimpse into the rich musical heritage of India. Join us for an evening of music as we celebrate the legacy of Ustad Zakir Hussain and Pandit Swapan Siva.
