Experience the rich tapestry of Hindustani classical music through a uniquely modern voice—the saxophone. Timeless Ragas, A Modern Instrument is a concert that bridges tradition and innovation, presenting ancient ragas with the expressive depth of a contemporary wind instrument.
Priyank Krishna is the first and only “A Grade” Hindustani Classical Saxophonist of All India Radio & Doordarshan. One of the few exponents of Hindustani classical saxophone, his performance takes the audience on a musical journey which reimagines the sonic possibilities of the genre.
With the emotive nuances of raga, the emphatic rhythm of taal, and the meditative depth of alaap, this performance captures the soul of Indian classical music while offering a fresh, resonant sound.
