Event Description

To stand still and get imprinted Touchy Topic is a 60 minute work of performance art. The work involves the artist standing still for the entire duration. At the same time, the audience is invited to put a finger imprint on one (or more) places on her body where they have been touched inappropriately using the white paint. The purpose of the performance cannot be determined as what it ends up being for each is personal, and shall always be so. What we only know today is that The Body Remembers. This performance was developed as part of Tell Me Your Story; a workshop facilitated by Mohammed Ellyas Lehry (supported by Thespo, India & Norwegian Theatre Academy, Norway). Bio of the performer: Durga is a performance artist and creative practitioner experimenting on stage, screen and canvas. Her body serves as a visual and cultural instrument in her performance. A history graduate, she loves to rescript narratives with fringe ink.

General Instructions: The audience may only put a finger imprint. Only one person can touch at a single time. The artist consents to be touched for the duration of the performance. The time is 60 minutes
