Event Description

We often get so caught up in routines, responsibilities, and the seriousness of everyday life that we forget the joy of sitting with toys and building whimsical worlds made of imaginary creatures, misadventures and make-believe stories...our personal Disneyland where absolutely anything is possible!

This workshop is an invitation to be silly and curious, to daydream together, invent impossible worlds through play, storytelling, and zine-making. Bring a toy or two to share with your playmates.

@that_thing_i_do is a comic maker, graphic designer, and curator of curious things who collects toys from wherever she goes and spends hours dreaming up tiny worlds and whimsical stories with them. For this workshop, she will be bringing along her personal collection of toys, characters, and strange little objects to share with you. She loves to make things for her own amusement.
