TransLate: Talks by Trans People, is a storytelling platform where transgender individuals share lived experiences — not limited to “exceptional” success stories but inclusive of the everyday realities of survival, joy, and resistance.

Since its inception in 2023, TransLate has already become a space of both celebration and change. Our first two editions in Hyderabad brought together 80+ and 60+ participants respectively, featuring respected voices such as Dr. Kiran B Nayak and Vyjayanti Mogli. This is our first edition in Bangalore.

Through this intentional gathering of experiences, identities find affirmation and the painful grip of isolation begins to loosen, replaced by the profound recognition of shared humanity. Each narrative becomes an act of quiet revolution, dismantling the walls of stereotype and shame that have long confined trans existence to margins and whispers. TransLate honors the profound courage embedded in daily survival, the simple, radical act of moving through the world as one's authentic self. In this collective witnessing, something transformative occurs: individual wounds begin to heal within the larger body of community, and what was once endured in solitude becomes a source of shared strength, pride, and unwavering solidarity.

About For&Bi: For&Bi is a transgender-led collective based in Hyderabad and Bangalore. Our mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces that elevate marginalized voices and build bridges of solidarity across communities. Our work centers not only on advocacy and visibility but also on collective care, resilience, and trans joy as antidotes to stigma, violence, and exclusion.
