Event Description

Indian Institute of Cartoonists is organising ‘TREETOONS’ an exhibition by Mr. Chiluveru Mrityunjay to portray the importance of trees in human life. Recent studies have shown that the reason for Global warming is the destruction of forests. The only way is to grow more and more trees. Trees have a very important role in human life. It is necessary to create awareness among the people about tree plantations. Mr. Chiluveru Mrityunjay, a staff cartoonist working in ‘Namaste Telangana’ daily of Hyderabad has recently published ‘Haritha Haasam’ a collection of 200 cartoons to create such awareness about tree plantation among people. Selected best 81 cartoons are displayed at the cartoon gallery. I would like to request you to kindly depute your representative to view the exhibition and write an article on TreeToons in your esteemed newspaper.
