About Tuning Words — The Art of Setting Compositions to Music:
This workshop explores the creative process of setting lyrics to tune in the Carnatic tradition. Through guided exercises and discussion, Bharat Sundar shares insights on forming meaningful connections between sahityam and melody — balancing grammar, emotion, and aesthetics. Participants will engage with practical tools to approach tuning as both a composer and a listener, with an emphasis on lyrical flow, raga bhava, and rhythm.
