We will explore questions such as what happened to a chamber art form as it moved to the proscenium stage, how one looks at elements that require live music when dancers don't have access to it, how spectators contribute to the evolving of certain elements as opposed to others, why kathak dancers address the audience so casually through a performance, and does the form have a grammar that is more than just the spins and the beat of the foot?
