Event Description

The Crafts Council of Karnataka is pleased to present Vastrabharana – its annual flagship exhibition and sale of handcrafted textiles and jewellery from September 27th to 1st October 2024 from 10 AM to 7,30 PM at Chitrakala Parishat, Bangalore

This year, the theme of Vastrabharana borrows from Rutugalu - the five seasons of India - Spring, Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, and Winter. The change of seasons influences the materials, designs, motifs and use of different textiles throughout the year. For craftspeople, it also affects different processes and methods that rely on the weather, such as natural dyeing and block printing processes, or the availability of certain raw materials.

To inaugurate the exhibition, The Crafts Council of Karnataka is delighted to be hosting the renowned actor and director, Ms. Revathy, who will be opening the exhibition on 27th September at 10 am.
