Event Description

Adding to its many successful digital ventures is Ranga Shankara's latest digital programme - "View from the 4th Row". Single-camera recordings of plays, recorded as an academic archiving exercise, will now be made available to audiences.

 This week, all the seven plays previously streamed as a part of the programme will now be made available to audiences for one week. Audiences can watch 'Afterlife of Birds', 'Gundayana', 'Sangeet Bari', 'Aao Saathi Sapna Dekhe', 'Draupadi Tukil', 'Abhijnanasakuntalam', and 'Uney Purey Shahar Ek' on Ranga Shankara's YouTube channel (RangaShankaraTheatre).

All plays will be up for viewing from 10 AM on Fri, 25 June 2021. They will remain on the channel till 11:59 PM IST on Thu, 1 July 2021. The plays can be viewed free of cost.

The week of plays will allow audiences to binge-watch theatre at its finest through Ranga Shankara's curated line-up. The review week will be followed by other curated plays in the 'View from the 4th Row' programme. New plays will continue to premiere every Friday on Ranga Shankara's YouTube channel. The plays have been curated carefully to ensure the viewers get a variety in terms of age, language, and format. They also allow viewers a peek into Ranga Shankara's rich archives.
