Walking Through A Songline is a dramatic digital experience in which visitors can immerse themselves in ancient Aboriginal Australian knowledge. This acclaimed Australian Indigenous art exhibition is coming to Bengaluru as the next stop in its multi-city tour of India. Walking Through A Songline will be the feature exhibition at the Science Gallery Bengaluru, from 18 July to 18 August.
‘Songlines‘, also known as Dreaming tracks, are pathways of knowledge that map the routes and activities of Ancestral beings as they travelled across Australia.
Visitors to the exhibition will ‘walk’ a digital ‘songline’, experiencing the vibrant projections that bring to life the stories which are part of a sacred Aboriginal tradition, passed down through generations.
Produced by the National Museum of Australia in partnership with Australia’s Mosster Studio, Walking Through A Songline has the ongoing support of the traditional Aboriginal custodians and knowledge holders of these stories.
The exhibition is open to the public with free admission.
