Pottery is an art which involves the five elements of nature(air, water, fire, space & earth). Be it the art of shaping the forms from a lump of clay or developing the ideas of making functional articles, pottery is highly therapeutic & satisfying.
Course Details : The 6 day course will start off with an introductory session to the hand building and wheel throwing techniques of pottery. Further, the classes will help you to explore the techniques to build multitudes of products and forms.
In hand building, the participants will be developing vases, plates, tiles etc with pinching, coiling & slab making methods. Also, we will be continuously practicing wheel throwing in which one can experience how the medium works and experiment various symmetrical forms.
