Event Description

Join us as we celebrate the opening of What The Camera Didn’t See, an exhibition that brings together 23 artworks by Alexander Gorlizki and the Pink City Studio. The works on display blur the boundaries between photography and miniature painting, creating new narratives while responding to historical photographs in the MAP collection. Historical photographs can tell us a lot about the moment of their making, perhaps something about their subjects, but what do they leave out? Get a chance to interact with the artists Alexander Gorlizki and Riyaz Uddin at the opening, learn more about where their imaginations took them when they considered this question, and explore the unique and quirky perspectives on the past they present in the show.
