Wiggleroom Popups: Handpan Workshop with Neeraj

An introduction to playing and understanding the handpan

Curious about the handpan? This workshop is a hands-on introduction to the instrument—its origin structure and sound.

Led by Neeraj this session will guide you through the basics—what the instrument is how it works and how to begin playing it.

What to expect:

A brief introduction to the handpan’s background and sound structure
Foundational techniques and rhythm patterns
Guided time to explore and play
Space to ask questions and connect over music

The evening will close with a short performance by Neeraj giving you a chance to wind down and experience the handpan in full flow.

No prior music experience is required. Instruments will be provided for use during the session.

Note: Parking is not available at the venue but paid parking is available around the area.

About Neeraj:

A tabla virtuoso since the age of 5 trained under Pt. Ramkrishna Bose and formally certified with distinction. Neeraj has performed at prestigious stages like Saptak (Ahmedabad) Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh (Udaipur) Dhrupad Samaroh and Jaipur Kala Mahotsav.

Known for his signature fusion of tabla & handpan Neeraj creates an ethereal soundscape that blends rhythm and melody.
