ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE: Urban Solace, your Cafe for the Soul has from its inception in 1997 has been bringing to the city of Bangalore a range of special experiences that showcase the skills, talents and accomplishments of Women in Bangalore. This year Urban Solace brings to Bangalore a range of special experiences that is at the cutting edge of creative consciousness of Women in Bangalore. "Women as Accomplishment" is a series of talks by accomplished women in their chose area of specialization, experiencing success and fulfillment in life at the highest level of their game besides managing their roles as mothers, daughters and the family. While the talks are designed around the framework of unplugged sharing of their journey maneuvering through the maze of life and ending with a question and answer time.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: PRARTHANA

PRATHANA - Award Winning Digital Creator Prarthana is a 26 year old queer content creator on YouTube and other social media platforms. The content she make aims at offering a genuine perspective on Queer and Desi experiences along with a hearty amount of humour with the story telling process. Growing up, she never found voices and faces she resonated with fully around me or in the media so she tries to create the kind of content she would have loved to see. Prarthana has had the privilege of working with global companies such as Brut, Vice, Buzzfeed and WeWork in spreading awareness about the Queer Community. She has been featured in TOI, Mid-day and several online platforms such as Feminism in India. Prarthana has also spoken at sessions by various universities and colleges such as IIT Madras, BITS Pilani, Delhi University, Mount Carmel College and Christ University. She has received the Cosmopolitan India Bloggers Award 2023 for LGBTQIA+ voice of the year (Editor’s Panel). Prarthana is a Pastry Chef by profession and an entrepreneur in the Hospitality Industry who loves reading and writing.
