Event Description

This coming weekend on August 8th(Saturday), Conosh is bringing in an amazing workshop with none other than Sashi Cheliah winner of The MasterChef Australia.

About the Session:
Learn how to make a classic Pandan Panna Cotta with macadamia crumb and palm sugar caramel with the masterchef Sashi. This is not all Sashi will also cover the following in the workshop:
- Explain the flavours of Pandan and replacement with other flavours if pandan is not available in India.
- Cooking temperature for the Panna Cotta.
- Types of gelatine and the ratio of gelatine to liquid to get the ideal Panna cotta.
- How to make a perfect crumb with macadamia nuts
- How to make palm sugar caramel.
- How to remove Panna Cotta from the mould.
- Simple tips on plating for desserts.

About Sashi Cheliah: 

Born in Singapore as the eldest of seven children, Sashi was introduced to food at a young age through his mother’s café. Sashi’s commitment to food has grown since moving to Australia in 2011 as he began replicating the Indian, Malaysian and Chinese cooking of his youth. Sashi was one of the contestants at  MasterChef Australia kitchen in 2018 where he became known as a king of flavour. Sashi made history being the first contestant in ten seasons to win two immunity pins, and he was ultimately crowned the winner after securing the biggest margin and highest score ever seen in a Grand Finale.
 
The MasterChef Australia win has help kickstart Sashi’s food dream to open an Asian inspired restaurant “GajaBySashi” in Adelaide. Sashi also runs pop-up restaurant around Australia and overseas. Recently Sashi launched his own Chef meal kit for his fans that is available nationwide in Australia.
