March is an extremely important month for theatre - not only do we celebrate 'World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People' (20 Mar) and 'World Puppetry Day' (21 Mar), but 27 Mar 2021 also marks 'World Theatre Day'!
 
An initiative by the International Theatre Institute, 'World Theatre Day' is celebrated by theatre lovers across the world, both organizations and individuals. The day has been emphasizing the importance of Theatre, both socially and economically, since 1962.
 
In the true spirit of the day and the firm belief that theatre is for all, 'World Theatre Day' celebrations at Ranga Shankara start with our hit AHA! production for children, 'Chippi, the Chipkali', at 11 AM, and end with Sanket's acclaimed 'Iti Ninna Amrita' at 7 30 PM - a bonanza for the young and not-so-young alike!
