Knowledge and wealth are complementary energies, attained only through balance.

Yadā is a Kuchipudi duet that explores the playful, deeply human exchange between the goddesses of knowledge and wealth. They are played as refreshingly relatable characters, while the dance form itself creates a celestial ethos. Through expressive abhinaya, rhythmic passages, and light-hearted vachika, the production celebrates contrast, companionship, and ultimate harmony.

Rashmi Chowalloor
Kuchipudi Artist
Rashmi Chowalloor began her training in Bharatanatyam at four and Kuchipudi at fifteen, under guru Kalamandalam Mani. Since 2016, she has pursued advanced training in Kuchipudi under SNA Awardee guru Kalaimamani Sailaja. A postgraduate gold medallist in Media Management from MOP Vaishnav College, Chennai, Rashmi is co-founder of Viradhya School of Dance. She holds a Grade B accreditation in Kuchipudi from Doordarshan Chennai, was recognised as Best Performer in Kuchipudi at Nanganallur Sabha Chennai in 2024, and has been honoured as Kalathilakam at the All Kerala Bhavan’s Youth Festival.

Vidhya S began her Kuchipudi training in 2007 under Sri RLV Rajesh in Kerala. For over a decade, she has been under the direct tutelage of Kuchipudi doyen Guru Kalaimamani Sailaja SNA Awardee, and is a senior disciple of Saila Sudha Academy, Chennai. She holds a Master of Arts in Natya from Dr. M.G.R. Janaki College of Arts and Science, and co-founded Viradhya School of Dance. She holds a Grade B-High accreditation in Kuchipudi from Doordarshan Chennai, and an A grade from the Kerala State Kalotsavam. She was recognised as Best Performer in Kuchipudi at Nanganallur Sabha Chennai in 2024.
