Event Description

Jim Lambie's floor based artwork, Zobop, is an on-going series dating back to 1999. Like the rhythm of Bebop or Rebop, a style of jazz from the 1940s, Lambie's Zobop visually evokes a sense of unpredictable progressions. The coloured vinyl strips seamlessly cover walls, staircases and floors, often taking the shape of the space and their scale and vibrant colours intrigue the viewers to intuitively move with the stripes. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Mazumdar-Shaw Philanthropy, for making this installation possible.
