The modern and new Dhaba by Claridges is now in Bangalore after its stops at Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai and Hyderabad. Modern Punjabi dhaba food is the new addition to Indiranagar. Directors of Azure Hospitality, the promoters, Rahul Khanna and Kabir Suri had this to say, “We’re extremely keen and anxious and look forward to opening Dhaba by Claridges in Bangalore. We look forward to bringing the brand to Bangalore which is a vibrant and young city. The people here are experimental and the dining-out ratio is far greater than in many other Indian cities. We hope the people of Bangalore will receive Dhaba with open arms.”
The restaurant is set up to create a highway side scene with copper kettles, bright lights, dhaba-style art (yes, this is the new art form), and even a hopscotch pattern for the kids.
The food menu is curated by Corporate Chef Ravi Saxena. Items like Palak Paneer ki Seekh, Aloo Pyazki Subzi, Dhabe Di Aloo Gobhi, Chitta Butter Chicken, Amritsari Kukkad, and the Missi Tandoori Paratha are on the menu. Their signature dishes are Balti Meat, Tandoori Mutton Chaap, Dhaba Prawns and Dhaba Daal.
The bar, that highway dhabas shouldn’t have, serves drinks called Toofan, Gulabo, Somraas, Basanti and Laal Pari.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with an “on the table buffet” option. The average price for two is Rs 1300.
