Where did you grow up?

I was born and brought up in Rajasthan.

What led you to become a chef?

The pleasure and opportunity to serve the global customer a home cooked meal. It is the cuisine I was brought up on and sharing this with the global customer is what led me to become a chef.

How long have you been a chef?

For 42 years.

What do you enjoy more? Cooking or creating?

I enjoy creating.

Do you feel there is the virtue in preserving the authenticity of cuisine?

Yes we should work towards preserving the authenticity of cuisine as they bind us to the roots of our grand historical culture.

What dish do you like eating the most?

Undhiyu.

What’s your least favourite dish?

For a maharaj there is no least favorite dish.

How long have you been in Bangalore?

From 2013.

Do you like it here?

For a maharaj, serving our guests is what give us pleasure. Irrespective of the place we are working at. But yes, I like it here.
