The Clock Strikes With Apeksha Parthasarathy Thinking Of Food

Apeksha Parthasarathy likes almost every cuisine. But when it comes down to it, her grandmother’s biryani is her favourite. In conversation with Explocity.

Are you a foodie?

If the clock strikes every hour with the thought of food, then yes, I am a foodie!

What’s your favourite cuisine?

I grew up eating Mughlai food. Then there's Chinese (both the Indian and the Chinese version), Thai, Middle Eastern, Japanese...can't really stop to put a finger on it.

But at the end of it all, it’s home food that comforts me the most after a hard day's work.

What’s the last place that you went to in Bangalore that you really enjoyed? What did you eat there that stood out?

I last went to two places on the same day and can't stop thinking about the Mutton Biryani at Sharieff Bhai (Koramangala) and the Masaledar Murgh ki Chaap that I so devoured like that was the last plate of food.

What’s your favourite dish of all time and where did you eat it?

It has to be Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biryani and the best being made at my grandmother's home in Hyderabad. It’s cooked over wood fire.

What is your least favourite dish?

Cannot relate to the concept of Kanji or Congee.

If you have to recommend a place to our readers what will it be?

In the recent past,I have been frequenting two places: Cafe Felix and Sharieff Bhai.
