The German festival has gained popularity the world over. And Bangalore with all it’s cosmopolitan-ness has easily adopted world trends. What with being the pub capital of India and beer being a sort of unofficial city drink (try and count the number of breweries opening up in the city.) So in the next coming weeks, if you are in the mood to celebrate like the rest of the world, here is our list of Oktoberfest in Bangalore to hit up.
Spice Terrace at JW Marriott became the first 5 Star hotel in the city to open its own brewery. With that reputation, how can they not join the Oktoberfest wagon? Belgian beers like Abbey Blond, Abbey Dark,Belgian White and Abbey Tripel are served with snacks like Tenderloin, Hahnchen and Spring Rolls. The fest continues from 24 September to 24 October, 2018. The festival is from 1pm to 7pm and you can get unlimited beers for three hours at a price of Rs 750 plus taxes.
The German beer Marzen is one of the six beers on tap. Some of the snacks are pretzels and roasted chicken. In true festival style there are games like a Stein Hoisting competition and Beer Pong. Visit on the weekend for a brewery tour with their Head Consultant Brewer, Karthik Singh. All this till 7 October, 2018.
Rural Blues is serving the new Simba beer buckets and Geist on tap. The snacks menu includes Pretzels, Chicken Frankfurters, Bratwurst, Krakauer, Grilled Chicken Burger, Lamb Burger, Corn on the Cob, Apple Sauerkraut and more. Their Oktoberfest continues till 7 October, 2018.
Get a taste of Bavaria with dishes like Eintopf Soup, Saute Currywurst Chicken Sausage Lyonnaise, Sauerbraten and Magdeburger Schmalzkuchen. The Oktoberfest menu is available in Indiranagar and JP Nagar outlets till 3 October, 2018.
In time for Oktoberfest Chancery Pavilion has opened their new in-house brewery, Cavalier Brewery. Their Australian beers will give Bangaloreans palettes more to go by, beer wise.
