Event Description

In this hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of bookbinding. They will learn the basics of the craft, including key terminology, tools, and materials commonly used in traditional bookbinding practices.

The session will focus on creating a handmade book using the Coptic stitch binding technique, a historical and visually striking method known for its exposed spine and ability to lay completely flat when open. Each participant will complete their own book by the end of the session, gaining practical experience in folding, punching, stitching, and assembling the components.
