Femme Music is an independent record label developing female artists from India & South Asia. United Sound Booking Agency is a new division of Femme Music to book shows for our artists and develop their live careers.

Last year Femme Music exclusively signed Jyostna Jazz Trio under their sub-label ‘Tala Root Records,’ which serves as the label’s home for jazz and Carnatic music.

Jyotsna is a highly sought-after South Indian Carnatic violinist and composer. She learnt Carnatic violin from the legendary seven stringed violinist Sri RR Keshavamurthy along with western classical violin under VS Narasimhan. Jyostna is featured in many major global music events and venues, such as the BBC Proms and the Royal Albert Hall. She has been  the recipient of many awards like the Chanakya award from the Press Council of India.

The Jyostna Jazz Trio was born from the vision of Femme Music Co-Founder Vinod Gadher and Jyostna to bring together the expressive traditions of Carnatic music and the improvisational language of jazz, with Jyostna at the centre.
