Have you ever wanted to capture a moment — not just with a photo, but with your hands? This workshop is an invitation to slow down, look closely, and make something that is entirely yours.

In two hours, you'll move through three acts: first, a set of guided observation exercises designed to train your eye — noticing colour, negative space, and the shapes hiding in plain sight. Then, a reflection practice using poetry, short passages, and journal prompts to find the words for what you've seen. Finally, integration — weaving your sketches and writing into a single page, and learning how to carry this practice home.

No experience needed. Gouache is a forgiving, vibrant medium — bright payoff, slow pace, good company.
