“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” Resham Sahi is an artist, in every sense of that word in every aspect of her life. She is an artist in the form of a painter, in the form of a designer, and even in the form of a technology professional. Her identity as an artist is not one that runs parallel to her professional identity, but one that is intertwined and enmeshed with every part of her life. Right from the age of 5, Sahi has learned art from some of the most renowned painters in the country. She draws inspiration from her own experiences, particularly that of being a daughter of a bold, resilient single mother and being the mother of two headstrong independent daughters. Couple that with the unique privilege of being able to feel at-home in small town India, metro city India and mini-India in the US, the motif of India & its women is one that becomes omnipresent in her work
