Based on the novel written by SL Bhyrappa, the highly anticipated play Parva, adapted to English by Prakash Belawadi is set to take the stage from October 19-22 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.
The eight-hour play is directed by Belawadi, who has also undertaken the grand task of adapting the 1979 novel into a play in English.
The play is eight hours, with 5 acts and includes four intervals.
SL Bhyrappa's "Parva" is a renowned Kannada novel offering a contemporary and humanistic perspective on the Mahabharata. Praised for its philosophical depth and character exploration, it delves into the moral complexities of the epic, earning acclaim as one of India's most influential and thought-provoking novels, translated into various languages.
The play has been adapted and is directed by Prakash Belawadi.
