Join us for the preview of warrior garments-afra eisma followed by an intimate performance by Aanchal Bordoloi and refreshments by Chef Tresa Francis from Coracle.
Stitched, layered, painted and charged with feeling, Dutch artist afra eisma’s warrior garments invite you into a world where anger is not contained, but worn. afra’s practice is colourful and playful, yet quietly carries weight. Their work asks us to think about what it means to feel safe in all your vulnerabilities.
At MAP, we believe safe spaces belong to everyone. Keeping in line with this ethos, for the first time we are inviting all our audiences to be a part of the opening night of this exhibition. Join us afra for a guided walk of the exhibition, followed by an intimate live performance by Aanchal Bordoloi.
Drawing on years of original songwriting and the tradition of storytelling in close, connected spaces, Aanchal invites you into a conversation between artist and listener, leaving you with something to carry home long after the evening ends.
We look forward to welcoming you for this special evening.
