Event Description

Seasonal Serenade is a classical music program that explores the relationship between the four seasons and Indian classical ragas. Each season—spring, summer, monsoon, and winter—is represented by a specific raag, carefully chosen to evoke the unique atmosphere and emotional qualities of that time of year.

The program highlights how classical compositions mirror the natural world, using melody and rhythm to capture the essence of seasonal changes. Through the carefully selected raags, the performance illustrates how music can reflect the moods and transitions of nature, offering a sensory experience that connects the audience to the changing seasons.

This event provides a deeper understanding of the profound link between classical music and nature, showcasing how traditional raags serve as a medium to express the beauty and emotions tied to each season of the year.

Anuradha Mandlik, a disciple of Vidushi Arati Ankalikar-Tikekar, will present this evening concert at the BIC, accompanied by Shantanu Deshmukh on the tabla and Vighnesh Bhagwat on the harmonium.
