Event Description

Inspired by the acclaimed plays Tumhari Amrita and Love Letters, Tumhara Bachpan presents a heartfelt exploration of the delicate world of childhood through the powerful medium of letters. This evocative performance shines a light on the subtle yet profound ways in which society stifles the natural spirit and joy of childhood. In this unique narrative, the two protagonists—society and bachpan (childhood)—engage in a candid exchange of letters. Through their written words, they take the audience on an emotional journey, illustrating the innocence, freedom, and vulnerability of childhood, juxtaposed against societal pressures, expectations, and norms. Yet, as the letters unfold, bachpan (childhood) emerges not only as a vulnerable victim of societal constraints but also as a profound teacher. Through its uninhibited, untainted energy, childhood teaches society the value of listening to one’s heart and nurturing the inner child. It reminds us that joy, wonder, and authenticity are what truly matter in life, and that by reconnecting with these pure instincts, we can rediscover our own humanity. Tumhara Bachpan is more than just a social commentary; it is a celebration of childhood's transformative power and a call to keep alive the spirit of the inner child within us all. Tickets are needed only for adults, Bachpan is free!
