Athaah is an exploration of innovative ways to engage with the depth of tradition. By integrating the classical Odissi repertoire with fresh compositions, it offers a contemporary perspective while honouring its roots.
This is the fifth edition of the ‘All For Dance’ series presented by Kalavaahini in association with BIC curated by Malavika Sarukkai. The ‘All For Dance’ series is presented every quarter at BIC to spotlight some of the best of classical dance from across India. The series is supported by Tanishq and Taneira. The event is managed by Shreya Nagarajan Singh Arts Department Consultancy.

Arushi Mudgal
Odissi Dancer
Arushi Mudgal is a leading Odissi dancer, celebrated for her technical virtuosity and innovative approach to the tradition. Trained under her aunt, Guru Madhavi Mudgal, she has performed globally at prestigious festivals and venues, with the New York Times calling her “one of India’s most remarkable dancers”.
She has received several awards, including the Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar and the President’s Bal Shree Award. Arushi has also co-authored a book on the aesthetics of Odissi dance with Prof. S.K. Saxena, published by the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
